Aims & Objectives

Our aims & objectives are:

  • To reduce the sense of social isolation faced by ethnic minority communities especially within the mixed marriage / mixed ethnic backgrounds, black British, Afro Caribbean, Asian and African communities and parents through the adoption and fostering of ethnic minority children.
  • To organize educational, leisure/sports and social activities for children, young people and adults within these communities.
  • To address and discuss issues like education, health, unemployment and poverty relevant to and faced by the black and ethnic minority communities in Northern Ireland.
  • To make links and work together with other organizations including the local communities in order to improve communication and understanding of cultural diversity.
  • To publish the first Intercultural magazine based in Northern Ireland. This will be educational and informative - it will bring more awareness to the public of the growing cultural diversity of the community and will better inform the black and ethnic minority community of the facilities available to them.
